ScoutFest 2020

ScoutFest is going virtual and this time it is a collaboration between the Great Smoky Mountain Council, Cherokee Area Council, and the Blue Grass Council.

Virtual ScoutFest 2020 will allow Scouts of all ages to participate in the live session with all four high adventure bases, advancement opportunities, virtual hikes, instructional sessions, a virtual campfire, and even a marathon –  all while “camping out” in their own backyard or house and observing social distancing guidelines.

This event is free of charge, but each council is offering an optional registration package. They each include the Virtual ScoutFest 2020 patch and some other goodies based on the council. If you take advantage of this option, it will help us offset revenue lost from all the Spring events that were cancelled due to COVID-19. Even if you aren’t taking advantage of the optional package, please register so we can share updates with you and keep a count of who is enjoying this awesome event. With this link you have the option to pay for some patches.  Patches look something similar like this:

After you register then:

  • Set up camp in your backyard or build a fort in the living room.  Just make sure you are maintaining social distancing.
  • Take pictures and video of your camp and you & your family participating in the activities. Make sure to share them on the Virtual ScoutFest 2020 Facebook event page.  Make sure you post them on your social media and use the hashtags #ScoutingAtHome and #VSF2020
