There are several awards that one can earn for camping, hiking, and backpacking. Here are some of them.
50-Miler Award
The 50-Miler Award may be earned by those who plan and hike (or use a non-motored boat) a trail or waterway at least 50 miles long. They must complete a service project as well to be eligible for the award.

Historic Trails Award
The Historic Trails Award may be earned by those who plan and hike a historical trail, and complete a service project or public event for the trail.

National Outdoor Badges
This is a new award from the BSA that tests your knowledge and skill in the outdoors. It is divided into five sections, which cover Riding, Hiking, Camping, Aquatics, and Adventure.

National Outdoor Challenge
This award replaces the old National Camping Award, and can be earned by troops.
